On March 25, 2024, fragments of a Russian missile hit the educational building of the Mykhailo Boychuk Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design. As of today, the sports hall, congress hall and exhibition center have been completely destroyed; laboratories, classrooms, adjacent buildings, and dormitory premises were damaged. An easel painting workshop was destroyed. During the attack, the Mykhailo Boychuk Museum created at the academy was destroyed. To resume its work, the Academy needs emergency works, restoration of gas supply to the dormitory, electricity, replacement of glass in broken windows, and purchase of destroyed equipment.
