The Department of Artistic Ceramics, Decorative Sculpture, Wood and Metal trains specialists in three specializations:
- artistic ceramics – prepares specialists in the design of clay household ware, pottery, interior and exterior decoration, garden and park sculpture as well as masters of decorative sculpture and original souvenir and gift articles.
- art wood and decorative sculpture - trains specialists who can professionally create articles of decorative and applied arts of traditional and modern forms as well as décor, those who are able to design and produce decorative sculptures made of wood, metal, stone, ceramic and polymer mass and other materials;to carry out design and do designer woodwork: furniture, utensils, small architectural forms for both interior and exterior, toys, jewellery, souvenirs;
- art metal –prepares specialists in jewellery, artistic blacksmith art and gunsmithing, who master modern technologies of art metal: metal plastics, coinage, casting, etc.; students study on the basis of Ukrainian folk and world art taking into account the promising current trends.
The department originated as experimental workshops as early as 1936, in its modern form it has existed since 2014.
