Scientific journal "Boichuk Studies"

announces the start of accepting articles and materials (Issue 1).

The scientific journal “Boichuk Studies” accepts original research papers with an emphasis on in-depth study, representation of national culture and art.

The aim of the journal is to intensify scientific research in the field of art history and cultural studies, to provide the scientific community with the results of actual investigation on the problems of the Ukrainian art and culture within the context of historical vision and modern time perspectives, regarding intertwined national, European and world artistic processes.

Objectives of the journal are promoting the development of art history and cultural studies; introduction of new facts, data, and sources into scientific area, the popularization of academic science achievements, the improvement of research quality, comprehensive development of cooperation in these fields of science.

The peer-reviewed open access journal publishes interdisciplinary scientific articles that have not previously been published. Articles are credited by specialties – 023 ("fine arts, decorative arts, restoration"), 26.00.01 ("theory and history of culture"), 034 ("cultural studies"), 022 ("design"), 027 (muse, monuments studies0

The journal is published twice a year, accepts articles in Ukrainian, English, Polish, French, German languages, papers should be submitted by letter with an attached file to e-mail: boychuk_studios@kdidpmid.edu.ua. For the publication of articles, a continuous model is used, which stipulates receiving the text, reviewing, editing, preparing for publication on the page of a certain issue of the journal in the "open access" and  the final version of the article is presented in PDF format, the order of citations is determined by the assigned DOI. The continuous model provides the fast publication of proven research, which is useful for scientists, young researchers, for all those, who are interested by above mentioned scope of the science perspective studies interested readers; such model is effective for the citations in new research papers.

The journal publishes articles on actual problems of history and modern trends of Ukrainian culture and art, national artistic heritage, sacred art, innovative and experimental approaches in creativity, art schools, in particular Boichukism, examination of works and monuments of art, integration of Ukrainian artists in the world, the Ukrainian diaspora, as well as reviews of individual and collective publications, bibliographic reviews, reviews of exhibitions, creative projects.  Publication of articles in the journal is free.

The procedure for accepting articles.

Articles submitted to the editorial board undergo a procedure of scientific examination - double-blind review carried out by members of the editorial board and independent experts in relevant fields. The admission for publication is based on the results of reviewing and checking the article for uniqueness using software ("UNICHECK"), which must result at least 80% positive. The decision is made on approving   the paper for publication, its revision or refusal to publish. The editorial board does not accept articles that are not of general interest and do not contain promising conclusions in the context of contemporary art history and cultural studies. Co-authorship of no more than three people is allowed.  The journal uses the Open Journal Publishing Management System to provide control over the submission of materials and the review process
