                        announces the start of accepting articles and materials (Issue 1).

«Visual culture of Ukraine» is a scientific peer-reviewed journal with open access, which publishes original and qualitative research of the visual culture of Ukraine and the world, interpretations of their diversity based on comparative, contextual and conceptual analysis, interdisciplinary approach. The journal aims to become a platform for scientific discourse, a place for an archive of scientifically based knowledge about visual culture and art in various disciplines, to intensify scientific research in the field of art history, cultural studies, anthropology. The journal will promote communication in various fields of knowledge, serve as a bridge between artistic and creative communities, as well as scientists, encourage the search for new approaches and methods, publishing the results of original research, reviews of art exhibitions, conceptual works, art sources, archival materials, book reviews, interviews with cultural and art persons.

An editorial board in cooperation with an international advisory board edits the journal. The editorial board expects authors of articles to adhere to ethical principles and submit scientific articles that do not duplicate any previously published works, including that papers which have not previously been published or submitted for publication to other journals. Articles are credited by specialties – 023 ("fine arts, decorative arts, restoration"), 26.00.01 ("theory and history of culture"), 034 ("cultural studies"), 022 ("design"), 027 (museology, monuments).

The journal is published three times a year, accepts articles in Ukrainian, English, Polish, French, German languages, papers should be submitted by letter with an attached file to e-mail. Visual.Culture.Journal@gmail.com For the publication of articles, a continuous model is used, which stipulates receiving the text, reviewing, editing, preparing for publication on the page of a certain issue of the journal in the "open access" and the final version of the article is presented in PDF format, the order of citations is determined by the assigned DOI. The continuous model provides the fast publication of proven research, which is useful for scientists, young researchers, for all those, who are interested by above-mentioned scope of the science perspective studies interested readers; such model is effective for the citations in new research papers.

The journal publishes papers examining key ideas of visual culture, principles of intercultural discourse, theory, history and contemporary context of visual culture, innovation in visual research, relationship between art history and visual culture, visual language and various forms of artistic practice, documentation of visual arts, cross-cultural traditions, cultural values in the field of social functions of art, visual art in art therapy practices, visual  culture as a barrier-free space of communication. The journal welcomes proposals from practitioners and scholars for a wide range of studies of visual culture and art.
